Libby (12 years of age) was the youngest of 8 finalists in the inaugural event and she presented a very well thought out design called 'Air Wheel.' Pace Engineering worked with Libby, her family and support person Amanda Hewlett of Puke Ariki, to formalise her design and work through the various features that Libby wanted to see in her artwork.

Fabrication and Machining of components was carried out in our New Plymouth workshops and Libby paid several visits to supervise manufacture.

Libby's 'Air Wheel' is now exhibited in New Plymouth's Puke Ariki museum following the very successful Kinetika. The Air Wheel performs very well even with a gentle breeze and has delighted many viewers since installation at the beginning of December.
